A Blog About Blogs

I just realized several things:

#1: There are too many blogs for me to read. For example, assuming you don't read just this blog, there are many other really swell blogs you can read, and since most of them post regularly, you'll never really run out of posts to read. (This is also somewhat of a lame excuse for not posting as much as I wish I could, I wouldn't want to bog down my few readers with too much posts.)

#2: I feel comfortable in blogging nonsense, since my blog receives an average of about the same amount of visitors in one month that Hobbyns.net receives in one day.

#3: Most of my links are links to other blogs I read, because I'm too lazy to browse for cool links, and because everything that must be said has already been said, leaving me with the important task of saying "Ditto."

Ahem. (Interesting Fact: My computer's default Internet Explorer font is very large and annoying. I am quite sure no one blogs about their computer's fonts. I feel...Unique.)

Guitar Breakthrough!

I am here to announce a major breakthrough in my guitar playing skills...I tuned a guitar single-handedly yesterday!! HOORAY! (For those of you who think I'm serious, yeah right, I should have learned to tune a guitar way earlier, except I was too lazy to learn...) Well, I'm still practicing guitar, hoping to become more skilled day by day. My fingers hurt as I type, but it's good pain. I haven't learned any new songs by heart yet, I'm content to just strum along with the songbook. I really think I might be famous one day...I'll play "Quacky the Duck" better than anyone else!

This Dang Thang

I just added a link in my links section to Rory's blog. She's quite the artistic, funny, babbling, cute, and smart person (I am not BIASED. Second opinion, somebody?). So go have a look sometime.

Pink!

I just changed the link hover color to pink. Roll over a link. Pink links.

The Claw of Terror...

PINCH! "Yeow!", I exclaim, as The Claw of Terror descends on my hapless face once again...The claw that belongs to none other than my dear mother, who saw it fit to remove tiny insignificant wormlike blackheads from my face, gasping ever so often while blurting things like "Oh, that's a big blackhead!" or "Will you look at this!". I know it's all for my own good, but while I appreciate her concern, I like keeping my face to myself. I actually don't have any major blackheads, but the careful eye and dexterous hand of my mother takes away what little I have left.

I would suppose this would explain why I posted this in the first place, I must have a VERY swollen ego to give you a pointless description about a blackhead removing procedure, but I haven't edited other posts, and I just had to post something tonight. So just...Sue me.

And Those Adoring Fans...

Yes, I do realize that I'm sneaking in a post at 12 at night. But having at least three people on my back, expecting me to post something, gives me a sense of responsibility to this blog. Well, one reason I haven't posted so regularly is that my past five weekends have been busy, giving me little or no time to post here. Also, I have so much blah to get out, I hardly have the time to sit and edit it and put it all into context. And, our computer was giving us some trouble last week, ergo I couldn't get online. So we sought help (we went over for the weekend at Rory's, but that's a different story) and now I'm posting. Responsibility aside, I'm tired. I'm off to hug my pillow and dream of fairies.

Here lies Monkey.

Monkey's Funeral

Life. Not entirely explained. Not entirely explainable.

Here lies our good friend, Monkey. He spent his life just sitting in a tree, eating bananas. His visitors in life were few, contrasting greatly with the many who now flock to his grave. His toothy grin always brought a smile to the faces of children, although many ridiculed his crooked teeth. He was a quiet and loving soul, never one prone to sharp outbursts. We are sad to see you go, Monkey. Your memory will always live on in us. So it is with a fond farewell and a twinge of jealousy that we see you go, for we know that you are off to a better place. Amen.

And Last You Checked...

...that post or picture wasn't there. That's because I have various unpublished posts (they're just basically thoughts I scribble into a notepad), and I've got pictures I've been meaning to post. So please excuse me if you're throw into a world of sudden, random posts and pictures appearing in five minute intervals. Geniuses are usually messy.

TriCksy

I have discovered that there would be sorrow if I would discontinue blogging. But for those who did not understand my babblings, here's the summary: I will continue blogging. (YAY!!) Now go and do something creative.

PCP Camp

Now, on to explain what's been taking my time this weekend. We (the teens in this area) had a camp. First of all, I'd like to thank Jeremiah and Mercy for hosting us, Ellen for the classes, Francois for the inspiration, and all the rest of the adults who put in their minds and time to make this camp a reality. Cheers. On with the account:

(Let's just skip the breakfast, rushing around to find that important piece of paraphernalia, and loading the car, and blah blah blah)...Now the scene changes and we're coasting along in the van and JJ and I are irritating Michelle and my sister. After I get bored with that, I take up a pastime of examining cloud clusters and singing loudly. After we stop by at Sonya's place to pick her up (I want to have a room like hers) we proceed to find our way to the site where the camp was to happen. By now the sky is getting dark, and creepy shadows are stalking our van. To make matters worse, we are lost in the forested mountains. But by some miracle, we found our way back to the town, and Sonya tried to phone the home. Since it was April's Fools Day, the adults probably thought the phone calls were pranks (I, *sniff* didn't get to play a prank on anyone. I had forgotten it was April Fools). They finally answered the phone, and an escort was to be sent to us. By now my bottom was VERY square, from sitting in the car for four or five hours, so I decided to steal a ride in a shopping cart (we were waiting in an IGA) powered by Angelique. When the time came to leave, I eagerly jumped of the cart, only to find that gravity wasn't on my side, resulting in a slighty bloody and bruised knee. (Rom 8:28: I was able to get 1 minute of attention from Sonya.) So after arriving and engaging in warm greetings, and wolfing down my food, it was class time. We had classes on several topics throughout the camp, all inspiring and feeding. Then was...fellowship time. After that, we all retired for the night. I found myself in a room full of boys who would emit strange noises from their mouths and God knows where.

Next morning:

(Skip breakfast and the usual half-awake small talk.) The girls arrived (they slept over at another house) and the classes began in which Auntie Ellen gave a great class on spirit helpers and enthusiasm. The inspiration time was rousing, I just had to get up and sing along to "We're bananas for the Lord!". Some games followed, the lap game (or whatever it's called) was...awkward. Soon I was called upon to prepare a skit, so I didn't get to see the tournament of the "orange game". Then we all gathered to watch a class on DVD with Johny B. I found that class to be pretty stirring, it was heavy and it challenged me to do more. After...there was more games. Then we ate, and proceeded with the next class, in which two skits were preformed by yours truly and others (I can't believe they FILMED IT!! *fume*). Then more games. The bottle head bopping game was a good chance to let out my pent up frustrations, and...WHACK!! But I expect to have a good sized bump on my head, because whenever my name was called, I could only yell in defense, "My mom! My sister! The french guy!" when I was supposed to give their names. After that, I headed toward the basement to begin my four game winning streak in table soccer (a.k.a. foosball?). And after I finished my prancing around the house in Aurora's Pooh robe and bunny slippers, clutching Sonya's teddy, it was lights out. (I have a confession to make, I stayed up untill 5:30 in the morning staring at the roof, hoping that beam wouldn't break and knock me senseless.)

Next morning:

Camp ends. I say farewell, and return to my previous exisistence, hoping another camp will come along. This camp was swell. We must have another. Yesh, I miss Aurora's Pooh robe and bunny slippers...

Hobbyns.net

I have just finished adding a link to Justin's blog. I thought, I might as well, since every else is...Correction. If I thought his blog was crappy, I wouldn't link to it. But it's REAL good. So I urge you (yes, you) to go check it out. All links in my link section have been approved by me. Some are REAL swell. And those that aren't that great, I'm just giving them a chance to improve. (insert silly grin here) End transmission.
